Step back into the past with walk through scenes and “hands on “exhibits at the Katikati Heritage Museum. Katikati was a planned settlement in the 1870′s out of Northern Ireland, the only planned Ulster settlement in the world. Learn about local Maori history and our unique Kauri logging industry from the turn of the century to the 1930’s. The Museum also boasts one of the largest bottle collections in the Southern Hemisphere. Also available is the Heritage Carvery Cafe, relax and enjoy delicious homemade food from our Heritage Carvery. Groups are catered for up to 100 and if required a private dining area can be provided. Our Souvenir Shop has a large range of Souvenirs at competitive prices. Tee shirts, Greenstone and Paua Jewellery, children’s tee shirts, wooden toys and puzzles. A large selection of coasters, Buzzy Bee products, Manuka Honey and Tea Tree products, 2011 World Cup Memorabilia, flags and Silver Fern goods are available. Just to top it off is the 9 hole mini putt putt course. It is centered around a farmyard setting and is a very challenging course.
