Discover the authentic taste of organic sourdough bread and patisserie baked in a wood fired oven in a rural setting located 8 Km north of Katikati.  Our home and workshop is situated on State Highway 2, nestled below Mount Hikurangi, looking out over the Bowentown harbour entrance. This tranquil setting is a hive of activity as Henri brings from his native France the joys of creating and cooking traditional sourdough country loaves, pizza and plat du jour in a traditional wood fired oven.  If you are already a follower of sourdough you can book :

  • A full day course on sourdough breadmaking including pizza lunch and take home bread plus your sourdough starter.
  • A two day intensive course. (Minimum 4 people)

In our shop you will find :

  • Attractive Portuguese Ceramic cookware specially selected for use in wood fired ovens but also ideal in a conventional kitchen. Suitable for use on gas, electric and ceramic hobs as well as ovens and microwaves.
  • 15 original sourdough starters from around the world dry packed.
  • Wood fired oven tools.
